Since the opening of the Marine Design & Engineering Center in late January, the world has undergone a major transformation. While COVID-19 shuttered businesses during the months of March and April, May saw many businesses reopen and everyday life start to return to some sense of normalcy. Families have had to cancel vacations, sporting event participation and other large group activities that would normally take place during the summer months. This has led to a boom in the boating industry.

Valentin is the truck driver for Cape Coral and well deserves employee of the quarter. In addition to transporting material / parts between CC and SRQ as needed and sometimes at a moment’s notice he also performs a series of other duties.

Sam Collier is a 5 generation boat builder dating back to the early 1800’s. Sam’s great, great grandfather William T Collier founded the village of Marco Island Florida in 1870 and William Collier’s son “Capt Bill” Collier opened the first hotel now known as the Old Marco Inn and provided the first ferry and cargo service to the island.
