Other than hosting the Patrick Board at the new Marine Design and Engineering Center on January 23, (see separate article), we have been preparing for what is starting to look like a busy development schedule. We have seen a great deal of activity since the Miami Boat Show in mid-February. Several of the Marine Concept Program Managers, Engineers, and Project Managers attended the show this year where several of the tools we developed and built where showcased on New Boat Introductions from our expanding group of customers.
This show is the largest of the year and will give our clients a taste of this year’s demand in the market as big crowds attend this show for the main purpose of seeing the new offerings and buying a boat. It is also a show that will set in motion innovative concepts to be incorporated in next year’s new models as the engine and accessories suppliers display new products and features. One thing for sure, there were many new boats at this year’s show, and performance is still what the public is looking for. This means lightweight components and big engines.
It is a good thing that are Engineering group has completed the move into their new offices at the Design Studio, so we are ready for the next wave!
